Los Angeles Rams vs New Orleans Saints: 2019 NFC Championship Playoff, What to Watch?

saints vs rams

The Las Angeles Rams are ready to take on the New Orleans Saints in the 2019 NFL playoffs. These teams are looking to win the NFC Championship game and continue their journey in the super bowl. Quarterback Drew Bree will face Jarod Goff and the two will see how has the better skills. Who will win here, you need to know more about detail below.

Offensive Line vs Defense

The Rams have a very strong defensive line and there have not been too many players that have been able to get past them. Aaron Donald is one of the leaders and he is picked to win the Defensive Player of the Year award. This season he was able to get 20.5 sacks and 5 tackles on his own. Ndamukong Suh and Michael Brocker have been a good team this year. They are able to work together to stop the big plays. They have been working hard to make sure their quarterback was protected and that he was able to have the time to throw the ball and head to the end zone.

Tough Players

This game will also have two of the top players in the league going against each other. For the Rams, there is Aqib Talib. For the Saints, there is Michael Thomas. Thomas has been having a great season. He has caught the ball 125 times and has run 1,405 yards and nine of these runs ended in touchdowns. He is the favorite player for Brees and together they are very hard to stop. Talib is not to be passed over. He has 23 tackles in the regular reasons. He was also able to get the ball for one interception.

Front Players

The Rams have running back Todd Gurley on their side while the Saints have some good players out front as well. Gurley has 17 touchdowns this season and in the regular season and he finished third in the NFL with 1,251 yards. The Rams will need to stop him in order to win the game. They will need to be tough from the moment that the games start and keep on going. Once they get the ball the Saints has a great offensive line that will be able to keep the ball moving down the field.

Here’s everything you need to know:

Things to Consider

Goff is a great quarterback in his own right. He was in the running for MVP right along with Brees. Some wonder if he will return for this game. He has slowed down in the past game but he could have been saving his strength.

The Rams will be able to win this game if Brees does not make a mistake with the ball and there are no turnovers. They need to keep a tight pace and keep going hard. They also need to make sure they have a strong field position.

The Saints will be able to win the if they can shut down the Ram’s offense. They need to make their quarterback play his best and they need to keep their defense strong.

This game is for the championship and the winner will be one step closer to the 53 Super Bowl. Both teams are expected to lay their hardest.

The winner of the 2019 NFC championship will battle against the AFC champion for the super bowl game 2019 on Sunday, February 3 in Atlanta, 6:30 p.m. ET.

The Kansas City Chiefs

Saturday in the Divisional Playoffs, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Indianapolis Colts 31-13 to advance to the AFC Championship. Their season record is 12-4. Patrick Mahomes is in his second year and has been awarded MVP. Mahomes had 50 touchdown passes and led the NFL. For the season, his passing record was 5,097 yards. He has the talent to escape pressure, throw quick passes, and while running makes impressive plays. The offense can pull off a high scoring game. The defense has struggled throughout the 2018 season. As statistics show, defense wins games. Out of the NFL, the defense ranks 15th on third down success, 19th on blitz down success, and 15th on blitz downs big plays. Their strong point for the defense is they do not have any problems with sacking quarterbacks. They rank number four in the league.

The New England Patriots

The New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 41-28 Saturday in the Divisional Playoffs. Their season record is 11-5 advancing into the AFC Championship. Tom Brady’s record speaks for itself as he is coming in this game with eight straight years of experience in the AFC Championship. With the defense, Sony Michel will be the one to give the Chiefs defense problems. He is the Patriots best weapon as their running back. The Patriots defense will have issues trying to stop the Chiefs due to the pass rush will not work against Mahomes. They will have to come up with other options to stop the Chiefs. Just like the first time, the Patriots will put up a high scoring game. The rushing yards will be their key to win against Kansas City.

Picks

This is a tough game to determine as both sides have what it takes to win. In the end, it will all come down to experience. The Patriots have defeated the Chiefs on their own field several times. Some are saying the Patriots will have the final winning score but it will be a close game as the Chiefs will go toe to toe with the Patriots the entire game. Most are picking Patriots 37 to Chiefs 34.

How Saints can stop Eagles for back to back Super Bowl wins?

nfl

Late in the year, many Philadelphia Eagles fans didn’t expect their team to make the playoffs. After winning their first Super Bowl last season, the team slipped a bit this year. Injuries and poor play took their toll at times during the season. After escaping Soldier Field with a one-point win last week, the team now takes on their toughest test: quarterback Drew Brees and his potent New Orleans Saints in a decisive playoff matchup.

The Saints have the best record in the league this year, thanks in large part to their high-powered offense. New Orleans has won six consecutive home playoff games, and this year’s squad humiliated the Eagles in a 48-7 win at home on November 17th, it was the biggest loss any defending Super Bowl champion has ever.. While the score for this rematch probably won’t be that lopsided, it will be a game with huge championship implications. Let’s know another biggest loss or Foles magic?

Who: Eagles vs Saints
What: 2019 NFC Divisional Playoffs
When: Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019
Where: Mercedes-Benz Superdome
Time: 4:40 p.m. Eastern
TV channel: Fox
Live stream: Fox Sports Go, fuboTV (free trial)

Why the Eagles will win:

1. Nick Foles keeps the team’s momentum going. Backup quarterback Foles was pressed into service again this season after starter Carson Wentz’s back injury and once again has his team in the playoffs. His smart play and leadership on the field are primary reasons why the Eagles are where they are. Despite having a tough time in Chicago getting the running game going last week, he stayed focused on striving for a balanced offensive attack. Foles has kept his team’s hopes alive, but time will only tell how long their good fortune will last. Nick Foles has been really good his 105.1 career playoff passer rating is the best in NFL history, minimum 150 attempts simply been carried by his teammates.

2. The Saints’ defense ain’t that great. New Orleans gets a lot of headlines for their offense. Their defense isn’t as notable, however. Their defense ranked in the middle of the league this year, giving up over 260 yards and 22 points per game on average. If the Eagles can take advantage of mistakes or mismatches, they can light up the Saints for a few easy scores. That could make all the difference in this game.

How Saints can stop Eagles for back to back Super Bowl wins?

1. Balanced offense. The Saints’ offense was one of the best in the NFL, as you’ve probably heard. They averaged over 31 points and 375 offensive yards per game in the regular season. Brees has a full complement of offensive weapons at his disposal. Wide receiver Michael Thomas tallied over 1400 yards in the air and running back Alvin Kamara tallied over 1500 yards combined rushing and receiving. These are just some of the many options the Saints have to keep the Eagles’ defense guessing.

2. The Eagles are weak defending against the pass. The Eagles’ defense was third worst in the league in 2018 against the pass. They allowed over 300 yards to Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky, and could yield even more to Brees and company. Brees has been one of the most accurate passers throughout his career, and he could quickly carve the Eagles’ pass rushers into Swiss cheese in a hurry if they’re not careful.

Eagles at Saints Replay: NFLGamePass (Subscription required)

The Saints are heavily favored at home this weekend. They have looked vulnerable at times, most recently in a late season comeback win against the Steelers in December. However, coach Sean Payton and his staff will have his team prepared for the Eagles. He knows better than to over look an underdog. It should be one of the more memorable games of the playoff season.

Chargers vs Patriots: NFL divisional round 2019 preview, odds, who will win?

chargers vs patriots

Chargers vs Patriots game preview

The Los Angeles Chargers visit five-time Super Bowl champions, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick and the defending AFC Champion New England Patriots in Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts this weekend in another exciting NFL playoff game. This is the first time the two teams have squared off since late October and first AFC Championship game since 2007. In that contest, the Patriots defeated the Chargers at home by a score of 21 to 13. The Chargers are in the playoffs for the first time since 2013 and looking forward for the first time since 1994 Super Bowl when they defeated to the 49ers.

Both teams have high-scoring offenses, and this could be a game full of rapidly changing scores. Both quarterback Tom Brady and Phil Rivers are veterans capable of leading their offensive units down the field in a hurry. The teams are very well matched in terms of offensive production.

Game: Los Angeles Chargers at New England Patriots
Start time: 1:05 p.m. EST
Date: Sunday, January 13
Formate: NFL divisional playoff round
Location: Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts
TV channel: CBS (free trial)

Why the Chargers will win:

Great pass rushing. The Chargers’ one-two combo of Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram have faced some of the best offenses in the league this year, and have been rather successful. They have been excellent at rushing the quarterback and forcing tipped and dropped passes all year. Enough defensive pressure on Brady and his crew can let the Los Angeles offense play a precision game this weekend.

The Patriots’ bubble may be bursting. While the Patriots are heavily favored in this game, they’re not near the dynasty that they used to be. Brady, tight end Rob Gronkowski, wide receiver Julian Edelman and other veterans on the team have started to show signs of age. They were not exactly road warriors this year, losing frustrating contests away from home this season at Detroit and Miami, to name a few. If one or more key players from the Patriots are injured or ineffective, the Chargers could grab an easy win.

Why the Patriots will win:

  1. Veteran experience. The Patriots have won their division for the last nine seasons in a row. They were the only team this year to win all of their home games. They have actually won their last fifteen home games, dating back to last season. Brady knows his offense very well. He coordinates very balanced running and passing attacks that are enough to stymie even the most powerful defensive lines. Coach Bill Belichick’s defense can also be very stingy, especially in terms of rushing yards allowed.
  2. Playoff experience. Most of the players on this year’s Patriot’s squad have seen action in the playoffs over the years. They know what it takes to win the important games. This is the Chargers’ first playoff game since 2014, and only their second playoff appearance in the last decade. Rivers also doesn’t have a lot of success against New England, winning only one of their last six matchups. While the Chargers are young and talented, many of the players on their roster have never faced the kind of pressure and expectations that this week’s game will have.

Many experts are predicting a low-scoring game, but a turnover or great special teams play could really turn the tides for either team. Both teams are well-run and are not prone to many mistakes on the field. The winner of this contest has a legitimate shot at winning it all, so it’s worth it to see how this one unfolds this weekend.

Los Angeles Chargers vs New England Patriots odds

The Chargers are currently 2-point favorites over the Patriots. According to the oddsshark.com is set at 25.5.

Rams vs Cowboys 2019 the most popular game preview, time, TV, picks

rams vs cowboys

The Los Angeles Rams host to upstart the Dallas Cowboys this weekend in a highly anticipated and the league’s most popular teams playoff showdown. Neither team has been this far in the playoffs in years. The last time these two teams met, the Rams edged out the Cowboys 35-30 in Dallas on October 1st. The Cowboys are surging and hungry for a rematch to hopefully reverse their fate this time around. Rams vs Cowboys division football playoff game is being started in Saturday, January 12 at 8:15pm ET/5:15pm PT at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles, California on fox TV network.

Why the Cowboys can upset the Rams?

1. Dak Prescott. The Cowboys’ third-year quarterback has matured and improved every year. He is one of the more mobile quarterbacks in the league, and he has a good running game to rely on when he needs them. Dak can read defenses well, and adjusts under pressure. Even though he was sacked a league-high 56 times this year, he never gives up and does everything he can to put his team in position to win.

2. Ezekiel Elliott. Dallas’ star running back rushed for over 1,400 yards this year, en route to his second rushing title. Opposing defenses have had a hard time stopping him. He’s also a good receiver, and one of Prescott’s favorite targets. If the Cowboys get their running game working early and often, it could be all over for the Rams in a hurry.

Why the Rams will win:

1. Jared Goff has plenty of weapons to work with. Even though star back Todd Gurley sat out the team’s last two regular season games, he should be back in the starting lineup this weekend. If not, backup C.J. Anderson should fill in nicely as he has in the last few weeks. Gurley has a good offensive line that allows him plenty of time to throw to his favorite receivers Brandin Cooks and Robert Woods. This powerful duo combined for over 2,400 receiving yards this season. Gurley also had over 500 yards receiving to go along with his 1200-plus yards on the ground. These are just some of the many talented offensive weapons that Goff has the fortune of using this weekend.

2. The Cowboys are banged up. Even though the Cowboys surprised most experts by making the playoffs this year, the road to the postseason wasn’t easy. They were without guard Xavier Su’a-Filo and defensive lineman David Irving during the wildcard contest. They will also be missing the services of wide receiver Allen Hurns, who suffered a devastating injury in last week’s win over Seattle. Although mid-season trade acquisition Amari Cooper filled a void in their receiving corps, Dallas’ injuries may be too much for them to overcome. If the Rams’ offense is clicking, it could be a long day for the Cowboys’ faithful fans.

Rams vs Cowboys TV/Radio Schedule

Date: Saturday, January 12, 2019
Start time: 8:15pm ET/5:15pm PT
Stadium location: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles, California
TV channel: FOX
Live streaming: FOX Sports GO
Radio broadcast: Westwood One

Although the Cowboys could be poised for a major upset, odds favor the Rams at home in this contest. The powerhouse Rams are beatable, but then again, so are the Cowboys who had a history of slowing down one of the best offenses this season.. Whichever team controls the ball the longest will probably be the winner. With so many marquee players on the same field, this is definitely a game for fans and students of the game to watch. There’s bound to be more than a few amazing plays in this star-studded contest!

NFL divisional playoff picks 2019: Colts at Chiefs preview, time, date and more

The surprising Indianapolis Colts, riding a wave of quarterback Andrew Luck has made it to the next divisional playoff round. This weekend, they’ll square off against rookie sensation quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the red-hot Kansas City Chiefs.

More: Full 2019 NFL divisional playoff schedule

This contest features two legitimate contenders. Their offenses are very well matched. Defense continues to be an issue for both squads. Whatever the outcome turns out to be, this is a must-watch game for any NFL fan.

NFL divisional playoff picks: Colts at Chiefs
Date & kickoff time: Saturday, Jan. 12, 4:35 p.m.
Where: Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Mo.
TV channel: NBC
Odds: Chiefs -5; Total: 57.5
Pick: Chiefs 38 over Colts 21

Why the Colts will win:

  1. Their offensive line is superb. The Colts have one of the best offensive lines around. They allowed a league-low eighteen sacks during the regular season. Indianapolis also has a far better running game than Kansas City. They rushed for 200 yards last week against the Houston Texans, and are looking to continue their positive momentum. Some say that Luck still hasn’t reached his potential, but considering how much time he’s lost with injuries recently, their fans have to be pleased with this season’s results so far.
  2. The Chiefs’ defense is porous. This year’s team gave up about 405 yards per game on average. This includes over 130 yards per game rushing. They give up about 24 points per game. This clearly is not an elite defensive unit. Many of their defensive players have potential, but are still young and relatively inexperienced. If the Colts can get their ground game going, Chiefs fans will have plenty of reasons to be concerned about a possible one-and-out this playoff season.

Why the Chiefs will win:

  1. They have Patrick Mahomes. Kansas City’s young quarterback passed for over 4,000 yards and 50 touchdowns. Many of his plays are nightly highlight reels. He’s one of the main reason why many of their games were prime time selections. He has a great duo of 1,000 yard receivers in Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill among his many throwing targets on the field. Mahomes was a former baseball shortstop in high school, and he’s mastered the art of reading coverages and throwing smartly to the open man. He plays the position better than veterans twice his age and older.
  2. The Colts’ luck may run out. For starting out 1-5 to start the season, it’s admirable how Indianapolis roared back in the second half to secure a playoff spot. However, it looks like the formidable Chiefs offense may overwhelm these upstarts. Luck and other players have battled injuries from time to time, but this is their first real test of endurance in several years. Even though many of the Chiefs’ players don’t have a lot of playoff experience, neither do many on the Colts’ team.

MORE: 2019 NFL divisional playoff bracket

The Chiefs are favored to win this game, but it should be an offensive shootout for both teams. The Colts are pitting their strong ground game against the Chiefs’ high-flying aerial assault. Neither team is very well known for their defense, but a few players could step up and rise to the occasion. Whoever wins this battle will likely face the Patriots for the AFC Championship, so this should be a very interesting match on both sides of the gridiron.

Philadelphia Eagles vs Chicago Bears Wild-Card Preview: Start Time, TV Channel, Live Stream

Final Score: Eagles 16 Bears 15

Philadelphia Eagles vs Chicago Bears preview

The defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles into the playoffs with the six seed travel to Soldier Field in Chicago on Sunday afternoon to take on the NFC Central Division Champion Chicago Bears in an afternoon NFL wild-card playoff game. Last year’s playoff hero Nick Foles and his Eagles take on a talented team led by outside linebacker Khalil Mack and quarterback Mitch Trubisky. The Philadelphia Eagles off three straight wins are a hot team now but the Chicago Bears are looks like the much hotter team than the defending champion.

Why the Bears are the favorites over the Eagles:

1. Defense. The Bears have a much improved defensive front. Their 2018 squad recorded 50 quarterback sacks and 25 pass interceptions, which are the highest totals for the team since 2006. Their defensive line has been very stingy all year in terms of rushing yards allowed. While not as great against the pass, their pass rush defense has been rather effective as well, ranked seventh in the league this season. Their defenders are also very proactive in getting after opponent’s offenses, scoring six defensive touchdowns this year.

2. Injuries. The Eagles have been beset by the injury bug once again this year, especially at quarterback. Nick Foles is calling the plays now, but last week he had to leave the game against the Redskins early. That left the inexperienced Nate Sudfeld calling the plays at the end. If this should happen again, odds favor the Bears taking advantage of young players’ mistakes. Rumors persist about Wentz’s return, but time will only tell if that becomes a reality the deeper they go into the playoffs.

Why the Eagles will beat the Bears:

1. Experience. Backup quarterback Nick Foles was pressed into service again this year after starter Carson Wentz’s back injury, and he has picked up right where he left off from last year’s championship drive. Other veterans like running back Darren Sproles, center Jason Kelce and defensive ends Chris Long and Michael Bennett are proven performers who don’t back down in pressure situations. They don’t intimidate easily. Most of the Bears’ players have never even been to a playoff game before, so this will be a true test of their endurance and talent. If they pass this test, they could ride their momentum all the way to the Super Bowl.

2. Lack of rest. Bears head coach Matt Nagy chose not to rest his starters last week in their regular season finale at Minnesota. While this shows their mental and physical toughness, it wasn’t really necessary, considering the Rams locked up the second first-round bye in the NFC by beating the Niners handily. A close game could leave both their offensive and defensive squads on the field for a lot longer than he’d probably like. The Bears’ defense is one of the best in the league, but every player gets tired eventually. This could become a possible weakness that would work in the Eagles’ favor on Sunday.

When is the Philadelphia Eagles vs Chicago Bears game, what time and what TV channel is it on. How to watch Eagles vs Bears live stream on NBC TV.

Game: Philadelphia Eagles at Chicago Bears

The Eagles are currently the underdogs, but a lot can happen during this game. This is the first time both teams have played each other since November 26, 2017, when the Eagles beat the Bears 31-3 at Lincoln Financial Field. It’s sure to be a memorable game, one that can really set the tone for the rest of the divisional playoffs.

Los Angeles Charger vs Baltimore Ravens 2019 NFL Wild Card Playoff

The Los Angeles Chargers and the Baltimore Ravens shall both square it out at the NFL Postseason on January 6th, 2019. Even though they both qualified for the postseason on a Wildcard basis, the upcoming tournament is all for the Charger’s taking. We can authoritatively state so after studying their past trends and performances extensively.

A. Why Ravens are favorite over Chargers

Generally speaking, the Baltimore Ravens are touted as favorites over and above the Los Angeles Chargers. This is mainly due to their resilience as demonstrated by their performances in the past contests and matches. They are basically a team that is designed to play from ahead. They do have a great running game besides possessing a fantastic defense. Most people speculate that they might use these advantages in their upcoming match and pull a surprise head start over and above their opponents.

B. Why Chargers will beat Ravens

#1: Past Track Record

In all, the Lost Angeles Chargers had the more rigorous and intense of qualifying contests. The team played against very seasoned teams. These included the Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers, Kansas Chiefs, and Buffalo Bills.

This was in sharp contrast with the Baltimore Ravens that played mostly against less seasoned teams like the Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams, Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphin, and Washington Redskin. This will definitely place the Chargers at a strategic advantage.

#2: Players

Generally speaking, the Los Angeles Chargers has many better players than the Baltimore Ravens. Here we are talking about the seasoned Philip Rivers, who plays the quarterback, Austin Ekeler, who is great at running back, and Keenan Allen who is a wild receiver. With such a great player base, you should expect the Chargers to trounce their opponents mercilessly.

#3: Great Defense

In all, the defense of the Chargers is comparatively greater than that of the Baltimore Ravens. The team has some of the very reliable defense players like the Joseph Anthony Bosa who rarely concedes any scores. He together with Isaac Rochell is anticipated to seal the goals so tightly against the Baltimore Ravens. Their excellent track record and wealth of experience are also expected to come in handy during the upcoming duel.

#4: Jahleel Addae out and Jenkins in

Jahleel Addae who has been playing in the strong safety position has been criticized repeatedly for being a let down to the Chargers. These criticisms have been received and acted on appropriately. With regards to this, the said player shall not participate in the upcoming matches. In his stead shall be Malcolm Jenkins who is generally hailed to be faster and more effective. This change is generally expected to tip the scales in the favor of Los Angeles Charger.

PS: Please note that the above discussions are our own speculations on how the match may turn out to be. As such, you should treat them with some pinch of salt. All said and done, you have to make an effort of watching the tournaments on your own to avoid any doubts. Best of luck as you make the necessary arrangements to that end!

Colts vs Texans 2019 live stream, start time, odds, wild-card playoff preview

Colts vs Texans Preview

Another NFL playoff season has arrived. This year’s playoff series concludes the 2018 – 2019 regular seasons. There were no real breakout teams or a lot of excitement generated from players this year. However, the 2019 playoff season has some genuine surprises. One of them includes a matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans. It is a game between Watson vs Luck because Texans and Colts these two teams are in the playoffs all credit goes to their quarterbacks. Most analysts did not expect these two teams to appear in the playoffs this year. However, their inclusion reveals how far these organizations have come over this past season.

The Indianapolis Colts and their Chances of Winning

First up are the Indianapolis Colts. This team ended the regular season at 10–6. They ended up losing most their games at the beginning of the season. These loses indicated that the Colts were not going to be a contending team in that game year. Colts’ quarterback Andrew Luck had returned to the field after being out in 2017. He had an injury which prevented him from playing any game during that time. He was cleared to play at the beginning of 2018.

However, he had missed the 2018 preseason. He started in the first game of the 2018 regular season and the team where the Colt’s were defeated by the Bengals. Many people honestly believed that Andrew Luck was not going to do much in 2018. As a matter of fact, by their 6th game in 2018 the Colt’s were 1–5. Most people would have written them off as a playoff contending team by that point.

As the season started to progress things began to turn around. By mid-season the team had somehow managed to change things around. They started on a winning streak and it continued until the end of the season. They only lost one more game during that time. When a team has won 7 of their final 8 games, after losing many of their initial matches; this is an indication that they have figured out what to do to become winners. This comeback from behind mentality will definitely carry over into this playoff game.

The Houston Texans and how they Gain the Victory

The Houston Texans has a remarkable starting quarterback in Deshaun Watson. This young but talented QB was a first round draft pick that has panned out for team. When the Texans started their season, they were on a serious losing streak – just like the Colts. As a matter of fact, this team went 0–3 by its third matchup. The Texans relied heavily on Watson and they paid the price for it.

However, by mid-season the team had managed to turn things around. They figured out how to win games by utilizing all of the pieces they had in place and not just Watson. JJ Watt was still a dominating player on the defense. He still managed to use his supreme defensive skills to steamroll opposing teams quarterback. The receivers began to step on the offense and the whole entire team melded together to make things happen. The Texans then started to win most of their games and have been on a winning streak that ended their season at 11–5.

The Final Conclusion for this Event

Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colt’s will be the underdogs in this match up. Deshaun Watson and the Texans are expected to dominate on both sides of the ball. Texans have a stronger defense which will give them edge. JJ Watt is still a force for offensive lines to reckon with. The Colt’s saving grace is the experience of Andrew Luck over Watson. Andrew has been been to the playoffs in the past and he know how to handle this kind of pressure. Deshaun Watson has played on national stages for previous years in college. Still, the NFL playoffs are different from college national championship game.

AFC wild AFC Wild Card playoff game preview between Houston Texans vs Indianapolis Colts live streaming start time at 4:35 p.m. ET at NGR Stadium, Houston watch on ABC TV channel. In closing, the Texans are expected to be the team that will pull off the victory. Still, the underdog Colts might surprise everyone and further their ambitions for the Super Bowl in 2019.

Pick: Houston Texans, 24-21 over Indianapolis Colts

Seattle Seahawks vs Dallas Cowboys Analytical Reports for Wild Card Playoffs, Schedule, Odds And Predictions

seattle seahawks vs dallas cowboys

The NFL postseason wild-card game between Seattle Seahawks vs Dallas Cowboys will kick off on January 5th at 8:15 p.m. ET in 2019 at AT&T Stadium. NFC East winner the Cowboys won seven of their last eight games and gets the 2019 NFL Playoffs as a No. 4 seed but the Seahawks in 2018 season already dominate the Cowboys in week 3 game by 24-13 at CenturyLink Field. It is therefore wise to try and predict the kind of direction that the tournament is likely to take.

Quarterbacks are obviously going to play a big role Dak Prescott has been doing and really put some good ball against the Giants Cowboys are better defensively and offensively accorting to the cbssports.com Prescott has thrown 14 touchdowns at AT&T Stadium this season and Ezekiel Elliott won the league’s rushing title for the second time in his career with 1,434 yards. The Cowboys did give them a run for their money though. As a matter of fact, they had more yards but hardly converted any of them into credible goals.

Who wins this game I am going to pick this Seahawks because I do think it’s close one and Russell Wilson is the x-factor of the game but I would not be surprised if the Cowboys won with their home-field advantage. Russell Wilson and head coach Pete Carroll have history of postseason experience and success in the playoffs this is why Seattle Seahawks the teams totally different behind the Dallas Cowboys.

Having studied both teams extensively in the regular season ended December 2018, we are able to arrive at some conclusions here. That the Dallas Cowboys are more likely to stage an impressive comeback. We have as a matter of fact narrowed down to five reasons, which in our opinion shall make the upcoming matchup quite different and unique from the others.

#1. Earl Thomas isn’t playing

Seattle Seahawks’ Earl Thomas is not going to play this time around. He did sustain a massive leg fracture during the fourth week of the contests. This was when the Seattle Seahawks was playing the Arizona Cardinals. He is yet to recover. Tedric Thompson has been tapped to play in his absence. His absence is likely to create a void that may leave the Seahawks quite vulnerable to some beating from the opponents.

#2. Amari Cooper is in

Perhaps the main reason why the Cowboys lost was that they had a comparatively weak defense. This was mainly occasioned by the fact that their top defender, Amari Cooper, did not participate in most tournaments. Given that he is to play in the upcoming match, it is highly likely that his participation shall be a game-changer in the upcoming tournament.

#3. Cowboys now know where the flaws existed in the previous matches

The Cowboys had an upper hand in their last match against the Seattle Seahawks. They had the ability to score a whopping 7-7 standing in the second-quarter. However, they squandered these wonderful opportunities due to the weak conversion of their forward, one, Ezekiel Eliot. There is credible evidence to deduce that the player has since realized where he went wrong and is intent on rectifying the mistakes.

#4. Wolf Hunter starts now

Unlike the previous match that was commenced by a non-starter, Sean Lee, this time around, a more experienced Vander Esch is going to set the ball rolling. Being more experienced and well qualified, he is likely to set the ‘Wolf Hunter’ in a nice trajectory than was previously the case. They have also mastered the game of their opponent and have come up with strategies to contain their key player, Chris Carson.

Game: Dallas Cowboys vs Seattle Seahawks
Start time and date: January 5th at 8:15 p.m. ET in 2019
Location: AT&T Stadium
TV channel: FOX
Live stream: FOX Sports GO
Odds: Cowboys -2.5

#5. Blake Jarwin is much better at catching passes now

It will be recalled that for a large part, it was the poor defense of the Dallas Cowboys that cost them the tournament. Things are slated for a change for the better this time around. This is because their tight end, Blake Jarwin has also improved his tactics. It, therefore, follows that he is likely to be better at catching the passes than he was before. This means that on the whole, the ‘Wolf Hunter’ shall most likely concede fewer goals. PS: All these are mere speculations. You have to follow the matches on your own to see how the final outcome is more likely to be.

Prediction: Seahawks 27 – Cowboys 24

By the 14th week, they had already earned their spot in the postseason playoff. They went on to clinch their third consecutive divisional title in week 17.

New England Patriots (East winner)

Just like the Kansas City Chiefs above, the New England Patriots also made their 49th appearance in the just concluded 2018 season. They had an upper hand in the said tournaments by virtue of being a two-time defending champion. Their performance was not so encouraging at the start. This is because they started out by losing to both the Detroit Lions and the Jacksonville Jaguars. They, however, made a comeback and finished second.

Houston Texans (South winner)

Despite a 3-0 start, the Houston Texans made an impressive comeback to win the South division title. Their mean resurgence was occasioned by the defeat of the Pittsburgh Steelers to the New Orleans Saints. This shored up their standings after losing out to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16. They also went ahead to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in week 17.

Baltimore Ravens (North winner)

After grappling with a 4–5 record for the second year in a row, the Baltimore Ravens went on to score some 6-1 run. This resulted in a 10-6 finish on the season. A little known Lamar Jackson is credited with the resurgence that made the turnaround in Ravens’ fortunes. The team’s fate was sealed when it beat the Browns in Week 17, to finish tops in the division.

Los Angeles Chargers (wild card)

Los Angeles Chargers did not have a resounding win in the regular season. It finished with a paltry 12–4 record. This performance placed it at the American Football Conference’s 5th slot and made it to the playoffs on a wild-card consideration. They are due to face it off with the Baltimore Ravens in their first round of the postseason tournament.

Indianapolis Colts (wild card)

Much the same way as the Los Angeles Chargers, the Indianapolis Colts also made it to the playoffs via a wild card. They had a false start by receiving a beating from their opponents 1-5. They, however, went on to improve their fortunes by beating the Miami Dolphins 27-24. This, together with a 5-game winning streak, earned them a wild card slot in the postseason playoffs.

NFC (National Football Conference)

New Orleans Saints (South winner)

New Orleans campaign proper started in Week 11. They beat the Eagles and earned 9 winning streaks. This victory also guaranteed them a second winning season from 2010/2011. They, later on, defeated their Atlanta Falcons rivals by a whopping 31-17. Their victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 16 sealed their feat by entitling them to a home-field advantage.

Los Angeles Rams (West winner)

Los Angeles Rams made an 81st appearance in the National Football League in 2018. Their campaigns intensified in Week 11 where they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs a resounding 54-51. They later proceeded to beat the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals. Their lastly finished the season impressively by the awesome 13–3 record.

Chicago Bears (North winner)

The year ended 2018 marked Chicago Bears first winning season from 2012. It also doubles up as their first playoff appearance since 2010. They started taking lead in week 10. It is at this time that their scores began to shore up when they defeated the Detroit Lions. The week 12 saw them clinch the divisional leadership title by recording an eight win of the season.

Dallas Cowboys (East winner)

A win in week 16 over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers saw to it that the Dallas Cowboys clinched their NFC East division title. They, later on, improved their 9-7 record from the past season by thrashing the New York Giants after a 3–5 false start. This outright win earned them a slot in the 2019 playoffs.

Seattle Seahawks (wild card)

Given that the Seattle Seahawks did not record a resounding victory over their competitors, they had to and indeed were selected on the basis of a wild card. Their performance was an improvement of the past 9-7 2017 record. They finished 10-6 but was not eligible for automatic qualification. It was their week 16 win over the Kansas Chiefs that earned them a spot at the playoffs.

Philadelphia Eagles (wild card)

The last team to qualify was the Philadelphia Eagles. It started out as the defending champions of the Super Bowl LII. The team thereafter opened the season on September 6. It beat the Atlanta Falcons 18–12. It did not sustain this first victory in the subsequent matches though. This is mainly attributed to the loss of some key players. It thus had to be picked via wild card to the playoffs.

When is the Super Bowl 2018? Early Preview for Patriots vs Eagles Game

The National football championship game for the National Football League (NFL) this year named Super Bowl LII is around the corner, take place in February 4, 2018 at U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. The American football final game is called by Super Bowl is the most popular sports event in the Planet. The Philadelphia Eagles are the best team from the National football conference will battle for the Vince Lombardi Trophy, the national title game against the American football conference champion the New England Patriots on Super Bowl Sunday.

All is set for the super bowl LII rematch after a long time in Super Bowl final since 2004 between the two teams, featuring the New England Patriots vs the Philadelphia Eagles which will take place early February. The contest is bringing together two teams with entirely different background history; the matchup is featuring defending champion and a club making its first appearance in the super bowl playoffs since 2013. The Patriots are not new to Super Bowl LII playoffs as they have been in this big matches eight times since 2001, meanwhile, the Eagles have not been able to reach this far since 2004. Both teams met in super bowl XXXIX where the Patriots won narrowly by 24-21, and now the Eagles are coming into this game for a revenge mission and prove a point.

Main things to know about the Super Bowl 2018 playoff

This football game will mean a lot for both teams; the Patriots are made the third Super bowl playoff in four years and are their primary focus is to defend their championship against the Eagles. This match will also be a high stake for the Eagles who have had a very successful season making ten comebacks which can be a motivating factor in this game despite being their first playoff since 2013. The big question is will the experience of patriots help them to bag another super bowl title? Or will the Eagles silent the defending champions?

Super Bowl 2018 start time

The pressure is too high for both teams; in super bowl playoffs, every team has its pressure from the fans and the coach as well. Patriots are now under pressure to defend their championship while Eagles are hoping to end their title dry spell. The expectations are high on each side expecting to carry the day; patriots are confidence due to the experience they have for big matches. Eagles are betting on their excellent performance this season to keep their spirit high ahead of the game.

Who will carry the day? The super bowl LII playoff match that everyone is waiting with a lot of expectations with everybody hoping the best for their favorite teams. The fact is patriots have more experience in big names since it’s their ninth time to appear in super bowl playoff and they are the defending champion. Eagles it’s their first time to appear in the playoffs since 2013, and they have been in good form this season which can help them silence their Patriots. The showdown will bring together Patriots with a lot of experience in big games and Eagles which can be said to have less experience in playing super bowl playoffs. Super bowl playoffs can be tricky to predict since teams are in good form but patriots may have high chances of carrying the day due to their experience in playing on big platforms. However, Eagles may surprise many considering their form and the games they have come back to win.

There is a lot to expect from patriots in this match considering their best player Tom Brandy who is currently leading NFL with 2, 208 yards, 15 touchdown passes and only two interceptions with a rating of 108.4. Brady has been a critical player in the last Super Bowl 2018, and coming event may not be exceptional. The one of the main difference between the Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles is the Patriots are better coached by Bill Belichick than the Eagles’ Doug Pederson. Eagles this season shows a lot of improvement and has the best defense and offense which can trouble patriots.

NFC Championship Game: Eagles vs Vikings playoff scenarios

There is something special about an amazing football game. The atmosphere is like no other and you seem to remember every dramatically filled moment that leads to victory. When you watch the NFC Championship football game, it will certainly be no different. But are these two teams worthy of being in the NFC Championship game? Well, it is obvious that they made it, but how did they get this far and what will they do from this point on? Both teams have something special that can take them to the finish line of victory. As we begin to look at the special teams, offense, defense, secondary for each team, we begin to get a vivid picture about the Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles.

The winner of the National Football Conference (NFC) will qualify to play the winner from the American Football Conference (AFC) in an all out battle for the Super bowl title. Both teams finished with a strong 13 wins and 3 loss records. The Minnesota Vikings come into the conference with a 3 game winning streak while the Philadelphia Eagles offer a 1 game losing streak. This allows the pendulum to point for the Minnesota Vikings to have perhaps a bit more confidence going into the game. However the Minnesota Vikings will have to go into the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and beat the Eagles on their home turf. This has never been easy, particularly in a game of this magnitude. Stress plays a large part in how these two teams will match up. Also, experience is essential as the teams seek to understand each other’s playbook. The victory will be a glaring result of who wants it more. The victory will be a glaring result on which team plays better together as one. And the victory will be a glaring result on how well both teams are coached.

HOW THE MINNESOTA VIKINGS MADE THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP

Let’s first take a look at the Minnesota Vikings and how they were able to make it to the NFC Championship. As with any team, it has to start with the coaching staff. Mike Zimmer is the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings. He has been the defensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons, Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys. With so much experience, the Vikings should have a decent defense.

And they indeed do. With Zimmer’s experience he has managed to have a dominant defense this year. Along with that, commentaries have been made about the greatness of the Minnesota Vikings quarterback Case Keenum. When all seemed lost, Keenum led the Vikings onto an impenetrable comeback to have victory over the latter course of the year. Keenum has been a dominant force with his weapons, Stephon Diggs as wide receiver and Adam Thielen, the other wide receiver. Look for Keenum to go long and hard with these two talented receivers for long yardage. And let’s not forget the great Latavius Murray who has something to say about the Minnesota Vikings running game in the backfield. The Minnesota Vikings secondary has done well in protecting Keenum for most games and the special teams are also good. All in all the Vikings pack a powerful punch and they will need every bit of it as they look to defeat the Eagles on their home turf.

HOW THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES MADE THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP

The Philadelphia Eagles should indeed be worried about the Minnesota Vikings defense, but they also have some special players which helped them get to the NFC Championship. The Philadelphia Eagles head coach is Doug Pederson who served as offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs. He has also played quarterback as well. The Eagles may not be as lucky with their quarterback position in Nick Foles. While Foles does have experience in games, he can also become easily confused when confronted with difficult situations. Foles is also a backup quarterback to Carson Wentz who went down early in the season. He also has not been the dominant force that Keenum has been consistently throughout the year. The Eagles also have Alshon Jeffery and Agholor who are young receivers. They do have the experienced Legarrette Blount who some question if he still has it. The Philadelphia Eagles defense certainly stepped it up over their win against Atlanta, knowing the weapons that they had. They rose to the challenge like champions do.

NFC Championship Game Live Stream

The special teams will play an integral role for both teams as they will need to get field advantage for each play down the field. Depending upon who can pull it all together, is the taking for the victory spoils. The Philadelphia Eagles will have home advantage giving them the confidence of having the crowd behind them. But if Case Keenum can put all of the high energy to the side, play with his weapons as he has done all year, then the Minnesota Vikings have a great chance of taking home the NFC Championship George Halas trophy. Either way, it should be a stunner until the end. Both quarterbacks will have to bring their best. The offensive lines will have to provide adequate protection to give both quarterbacks time to run their plays. And the running backs and wide receivers will need to have an elite style of play. The defense will have to bring a special quality to the game as well. Look for this one to be like a Superbowl within itself.

“Absolutely,” Brady said when asked if he would have to be at the top of his game to beat the Jaguars. “It’s the best team we’ve faced all year. They’re here for a reason. They’re a top-ranked defense in the league and have great players at all levels. They’re really well-coached and score a lot of points, so we’re going to have to play really well.”

“Hope they do not throw him the football,” Jaguars coach Doug Marrone joked this week. “Hope he drops it. There is no secret formula. I’d like to watch a game where someone has been able to do it. He’s going to make his plays, and you hope those plays don’t end up killing you.”

Tom Brady’s Injury – What happened to Tom Brady’s hand?

Patriots fans are very concerned that Tom Braby in not practicing on Thursday for his hand injury. The Patriots vs Jaguars AFC Championship game on Sunday at 3:05 p.m. ET got plenty of consternation.

What happened to Tom Brady’s hand?

X-rays of Brady’s hand revealed no structural damage, per Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald, and a source told Mike Reiss of ESPN that Brady’s hand “should be OK.” Still, the Patriots aren’t saying anything beyond the fact that it’s a hand injury, giving no specifics about which finger(s), the various bones in there or anything else.

“I remember (Buffalo Bills running back) LeSean McCoy said he had a high ankle sprain and came out there cutting and stuff,” Jackson said. “So I’m gonna get ready for his best and make sure that we’re all out there to get Tom Brady’s best.”

“We were taking pretty steady action on Jacksonville so we pulled it and adjusted down to -7. We fully expect Brady to play, but if he’s really banged up the offensive gameplan could be altered,” BookMaker.eu spokesman Scott Cooley told CBSSports.com. “And if somehow he doesn’t play, it’s going to be mayhem. At this stage of the season and considering the opponent, Brady is worth 7-8 points to the spread. If this is a ho-hum regular season game, we’re looking at 5-6 points.”
