NFL Playoff picture: Eagles and Patriots upset the Falcons and Titans

As the playoff hopes of his Tennessee Titans diminished with a 35-14 loss to the New England Patriots Saturday, the victory sends the New England Patriots to their seventh consecutive conference championship game, and 12th in the past 17 years. The AFC’s No. 1 seed Patriots will host the winner of today’s Steelers vs Jaguars matchup next Sunday at Gillette Stadium in the AFC championship game 2018 looking to reach its eighth Super Bowl since the 2001 season.

The Philadelphia Eagles clinched the NFC Championship round after beat the Atlanta Falcons by 15-10 in the 1st divisional playoff game. The Eagles was the No. 1 seed for a reason. The Eagles won, 15-10, and are moving on to the NFC Championship waiting for the Saints vs Vikings game. Final score: Eagles 15, Falcons 10.

The NFC’s No. 1 seed Philadelphia Eagles will host the next Sunday’s NFC championship game against the winner of today’s Vikings vs Saints matchup.

“I think when you’ve played for a while and it’s been done at a high level, which he has, that lends to that kind of respect,” Falcons coach Dan Quinn said of Foles.

“He’s done it at a high level, and he takes care of the ball. He really looks equipped in that kind of system in the gun and doing all of the things that they do.”

“I feel really good, like, I feel really good,” Ajayi told reporters. “No. 1 seed team with an opportunity to go get a Super Bowl. I’m grateful, I’m blessed, I’m excited for this opportunity because it’s all in front of us and if we really take advantage of what we want to do and execute how we can, we can get it done.”

“I don’t think third down is the problem,” he said. “I think first and second down is the problem, because we’re losing yards on first and second down with penalties, negative rushing plays, sacks.

‘That’s what’s put us in third and long. You can’t get to third down until you fix first and second down.”

Either way, it’s not good.

Patriots Game Preview vs Titans: NFL Divisional Round Picks and more

Everyone always wants to believe that their team is going to win. The Patriots football against Titans game is already getting a lot of people on the edge of their seat. Of course, these days, people can look at the evidence from advanced computer models in order to get some idea of which team will win.

Here, experts have consulted a computer modeling system, and it is clear that the Patriots are going to win. The Patriots will cover the spread and emerge victorious before long. The Titans have come a long way, but it might be too little too late.

“We do what we always do. We show up to work and try to do the best we can do,” Brady said this week to, “We know there’s a lot at stake and I think everyone’s put a lot into it. It doesn’t really matter what happened outside of this facility.”

With Brady at the helm, the Patriots are 6-1 against the Titans, and the star quarterback has 13 touchdowns and one interception in those games. He’s 6-0 against teams coached by Tennessee’s Mike Mularkey.

(Tom Brady’s anger + Bill Belichick’s annoyance) X Robert Kraft’s outrage = 25-point win for the Patriots. The Titans, who haven’t won a postseason game since 2003, are not ready to wave the white flag.

“It’s a playoff game, so it’s not like it’s the preseason where I can go out there, [say] ‘Oh, it’s Brady,’ and I’m chillin,’ ” said Tennessee safety Kevin Byard, who tied for the league lead in interceptions. “This is a playoff game. So I don’t really care if it was Joe Montana. You know what I’m saying?

“I’m trying to go out there and win the game. I want to make him look like [Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback] Blake Bortles if I can to try to catch a couple picks.

“Tom Brady is a great quarterback, but it’s a playoff game.”

The Patriots are among the best-ranked teams in the entire football league at present. The star quarterback Tom Brady is considered one of the best assets that the Patriots team has ever had. He may be one of the best football players of all time. Rob Gronkowski will also be a major factor in the probable victory of the Patriots. Many people are also raving about the Patriots coach Bill Belichick, who is considered one of the greatest coaches of all time. It’s clear that these three men could lead any team to victory, and it seems that this is going to happen.

The last time the Patriots played against the Titans, they beat them by a wide margin and more or less broke football records. All of the best evidence seems to point to the prediction that this is going to happen again.

There is no doubt that the Titans have actually improved. After all, the Titans won the wild card matchup. Just getting to this point where they’re up against the Patriots in the first place is impressive, and this is giving a lot of Titans fans hope. However, it still looks like they’re up against an opponent that is just too formidable, much to the disappointment of all of the excited Titans fans.

NFL Divisional Playoff Picture 2018: Who will go ahead to the Super Bowl race!

NFL Divisional Playoff Picture 2018: There is no doubt that every NFL fan is looking forward to the weekend and everyone has chosen his side. The NFL divisional playoff picture 2018 is one that will definitely attract most of NFL fans and it is bound to be nail biting. The Patriots and the Steelers are huge favorites to go through to the championship and proceed to the Super bowl. However, we all know that the challenges will not be easy even though the two teams have been arguably the best throughout the AFC season. On paper, both the Patriots and the Steelers have a chance of cruising through with most people writing off their opponents that come in form of Titans and Jaguars respectively.

More specifically, if the two teams fail to qualify for the championship, Football fans will have a hard time watching the game without some big names such as Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown all of whom are expected to travel to New England where they will go against other big wigs such as Gronkowski and Amendola.

Who will play at the AFC Championship Game?

NFL Playoff Time, Date, Location, TV Schedule, every thing you need to know!

There is no doubt that the Patriots together with the Steelers have been by far the best teams in this AFC season. The first game will see the Patriots take on the Titans while the Jaguars will take on the Steelers. The two are of course set to meet in the final game of the season and it will clearly take a lot to stop them. However, they will have to overcome their worthy competitors on the field before we can start fantasizing about the two giants meeting.

The Patriots vs. the Titans

Looking at the Patriots opponents, the Titans are a good team to be fair. However, this has not been their best season because they have had many problems on the field. If anything, the Titans had to leave it late and they beat the Jaguars in the regular season finale for them to book their spot at this stage. In addition, the Titans game against the Kansas City was not their best because they had to pull off their victory from behind.

The patriots on the other hand will go into the match full of confidence knowing that they have had a good season. They will want to finish off the game and head to the championships so I am sure they will their A game.

The Jaguars vs. the Steelers

Records have it that the jaguars have the meanest of defenses by far. In addition, their top players Calais Campbell and Yannick Ngakoue have a total combination of 26.5 sacks. In addition, the Jaguars will go into the match knowing that they have already beat the Steelers once this season and they will be looking to do so again. To give you just a recap, the Jaguars beat the Steelers 30-9 in week five. Doing so as 7.5-point road underdogs will definitely provide the Jaguars with more motivation.

On their end, the Steelers will want to get one over the Jaguars as revenge to their earlier lose. Even though they will be missing their star defender and leader Ryan Shazier, the Steelers will be in good shape both physically and mentally. They will also be boosted by the return of Brown to the training ground.

The teams to play in the NFC Championship Game

While the Patriots, the Titans, the Jaguars and the Steelers will be battling it out in the AFC Championship games, the Falcons, the Eagles, the Saints and the Vikings will be battling it out in the NFC Championship games thereby completing the NFL Divisional Playoff Picture.

The Falcons vs. the Eagles

On paper, the two teams are having different types of waves but they will be looking to put that aside when they meet this weekend. For the Falcons, the ride has been smooth for them bearing in mind that they have had strings of victories in the recent past taking wins against the Panthers and the Rams. The Falcons will also get motivation from the fact that if they manage to get a win from the game, they will be in the NFC championship for the second year running.

On the other hand, the Eagles will have to fight the negativity going on around them if they are to get a result from this match. While the Falcons will be looking will be looking to join the NFC championship for the second year running, the Eagles will be looking to do so for the first time since 2008 and they can use that as a motivational factor. In addition, the Eagles star player Foles will be hoping to be in good shape and his team mates are sure that he will. In a recent interview, the Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery expressed his satisfaction on his teammate’s progress saying that Foles was doing well and that he had a relaxed mind and a confident attitude going into the matchup.

The Saints vs. the Vikings

The Saints will go into the matchup full of confidence knowing that their star player Bradford is in great form having made 346 passing yards. Their form throughout the season has also been impressive and they will be looking to continue with the same feat when the Vikings come calling.

On their side, the Vikings have a very strong defensive record with very few teams being ahead of them on that front. Adrian Peterson is in the form of his life and if his form in the recent games is anything to go by, he will help the Vikings get a result from the game.

The NFL Divisional playoff picture is one that most NFL fans are looking forward to see. This weekend the top teams will be competing in both AFC and NFC championships. While the Patriots and the Steelers are expected to carry the day in the AFC championships, their opponents should not be written off because of their abilities to pull surprises. The NFC championships is also another to look up to with the Vikings, Saints, Eagles and Falcons looking for glory. Let the buildup to the games continue.

Prediction: Patriots, Steelers, Falcons and Saints may be played in the AFC & NFC Playoff.

Jaguars vs Steelers: NFL playoff divisional game preview and prediction

While the Jaguars have been able to take a win from their last meeting with the Steelers at Heinz Field, they will be looking to achieve the same results when they meet them for the second time. Again, they will go into the match and it is very easy to predict that they may not be in a position to win the game on paper. However, if we go into the details, you will notice that the Jaguars have an equal chance of surprising the hosts. Let us not be quick to forget that in week 5 Jaguars were clear 30-9 winners with 7.5 points and two touch downs.

Here’s everything you need to know about Jaguars vs Steelers game time, date, live stream, who can clinch the AFC Championship game, prediction and more.

Game: Jacksonville Jaguars vs Pittsburgh Steelers

When: Sun, Jan 14, 1:05 PM

Where: Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA

Live Stream: CBS

Reasons why the Jaguars can cover the spread

This time, the Jaguars, despite owning a 21-point win over the Steelers — come in as 7-point underdogs, looking for another playoff win at Heinz Field like they recorded in 2007, the last time the Jaguars were in the playoffs prior to this season. So what will it take for the Jaguars to post another win over Pittsburgh? Statistics say that it may rest with quarterback Blake Bortles and whether he turns the ball over to the Steelers’ defense.

If the Jaguars recent defense form is anything to go by, they should be able to get a win vs the Steelers again. Another positive news for the Jaguars is that the Steelers, wide receiver Antonio Brown is out of the game due to a calf injury. Antonio has been in good form recently making ten catches and covering 157 yards.

Why the Steelers can come out on top

The Steelers will definitely want to get one back against the Jaguars bearing in mind that they have already lost to them once this season. The Steelers will be looking to stop some of the Jaguars main men like Fournette as well if they are to get a result from this match.

“Obviously any game that we’re going to play — since it’s the postseason — is going to be a difficult opponent,” Roethlisberger said. “But I think, just for me personally, I’d love to just prove that five interceptions wasn’t me in that game.”

Those words spread through the Jaguars locker room on Monday, prompting corner back A.J. Bouye to offer his response.

“Be careful what you wish for,” said Bouye, who has a team-leading and career-best six interceptions this season. “This is what he wanted, so this is what he is going to get.”

With their good defensive record, the Jaguars are like to sit back and wait for the Steelers to attack. It is going to be a massive game that the two teams will approach with caution. While the Steelers will be looking for their revenge, the Jaguars will be looking to perform a double over them. It is a match that the star men in both teams will have to do everything but errors.

Prediction: Steelers 24, Jaguars 20

NFL Playoffs 2018 – Vikings vs Saints divisional game preview

Vikings vs Saints: The Vikings and the Saints should battle for the most competitive game of the NFL playoffs weekend. After analysis their pass season records you will say, those two teams are one of the eligible contenders for the super bowl 52.

After beating the Saints earlier this season, the Vikings will be looking to repeat the same feat when they meet for the second time. The Vikings go into the match as firm favorites but that does not mean that it will be a walk over for them. Here, we analyze critically the chances that both teams have going into the NFL playoff game.

Game: New Orleans Saints vs Minnesota Vikings

Time & Date: 4:35 PM ET, Sun, Jan 14.

Location: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minnesota

Live TV Stream: FOX

Why Vikings might emerge victorious

In the regular season opener, Vikings emerged winners by beating Saints 29-19 so they will be having the same confidence when they visit the Saints again. Moreover, Vikings have one of the best defensive records and it will take something special for the Saints to knock break them down but that unit is sure to get a heavy-duty test from Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. In their previous meetings, the Saints were limited to 60 yard rushing with only 21 carries. Their top player Adrian Peterson will be looking to have a great game as he did when the two sides met previously.

Saints Chances of winning

Saints have strengthened their team offensively and Vikings will find a very different team than they played earlier in the season. The inclusion of new players will cause new problems to their opponents. Moreover, the team has had some good displays and is getting good results. This will be enough motivation for the Saints to get their revenge against the Vikings.

Vikings vs. Saints is a match that requires no major build up because of the history between the two teams. While it is true that the Vikings came out on top when the two sides met earlier in the season, it is not a guarantee that they will repeat the same accomplishment. On their side, Vikings will go into the game knowing that they have one of the meanest defenses in NFL and they will be looking to capitalize on that. On their end, the Saints have brought in more players and will go into the game knowing they have a much improved side as compared to the last time that the two teams met.

The winner of the games between New Orleans Saints vs Minnesota Vikings will play in the 2018 NFC Championship game against the winner of Falcons vs Eagles in Sun, Jan 21.

Prediction: Saints 24 Vikings 17

Falcons vs Eagles – Why Falcons could win against Eagles!

For the first time in a while, the Eagles are going to be the home underdogs as they face the sixth-seeded Atlanta Falcons. However, the Eagles will go into this matchup knowing that the last time they were in this situation (the year 2000), they came out on top by beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 21-3.

Falcons vs Eagles

In this 2017-18 NFL season the NFC appears to be far more competitive then AFC. Here is the NFL Divisional playoff game detail below.

Game: Atlanta Falcons vs Philadelphia Eagles
Time & Date: 4:35 PM ET, Sat, Jan 13.
Location: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Live TV: NBC

Why Falcons could win against Eagles

The Falcons are coming off a 26-13 road victory over the Rams in the wild-card game. Quarterback Matt Ryan, running backs Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman and wideouts Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu are all capable of taking over a game at any point.

If the Falcons’ recent form in their games is anything to go by, it appears that they will have to rely on their experience now more than ever when they take on the eagles. However, if they are going to come out of the game on top, they will have to do it without their MVP candidate Carson Wentz. On the positive side, the Falcons will have their reigning MVP Matt Ryan on the field with them and he is expected to win some points for them.

Ryan’s form is some that the Eagles will have to worry about. He recently threw 218 yards with a single touchdown and there were no interceptions when his team played the Rams.

Why the Eagles can beat the Falcons

The Eagles Carson Wentz suffered an ACL injury in the Week 14 game against the Los Angeles Rams. As a result Falcons have an excellent chance of advancing to the conference championship game once again. And therefore, the Eagles are 2.5-point home underdogs to the sixth-seeded Atlanta Falcons in Saturday afternoon’s divisional playoff game.

On their side, the Eagles go to the game knowing that they are the underdogs so they will be keen to use that to their advantage. However, that will not be the Eagles main source of motivation because they will go into the matchup having lost only one of their last seven meetings against the Falcons.

The Falcons vs. Eagles playoff football game that every NFL fan anticipates watching. While the Eagles will go into the match as underdogs, we cannot completely overrule their chances of winning. Their past record against the Falcons is worth considering because they have won seven of their last games. On the other hand, the Falcons have their reigning MVP Matt Ryan in the form of his life. The match is obviously going to be a tough one. Looking forward to see how this one goes.

Prediction: The Atlanta Falcons are looking for back to back NFC Championship game after beat the Eagles. Falcons 31, Eagles 17.

Patriots vs Titans: Playoff, keys to the game, prediction

The New England Patriots cliched the home field advantage with first round bye and this is why the Tennessee Titans will visit the New England on Saturday, January 13th at 8:15 PM ET.

The Titans won a close away game during the Wildcard playoff games against the Chiefs when the odds were stacked against them. Now they travel to Foxborough Stadium which is another one of the hardest stadiums to win a game in. And they play a Patriot team that has been so good for so long that they will find their place in the history books one day. Brady and the crew do not like to lose games and they may not remember how. However, the Titans started the playoffs with good momentum and proved to the Chiefs that they were a team to take seriously.

 The Matchup: Patriots vs. Titans

Overall, the odds are stacked heavily against the Tennessee Titans. The Titans just barely finished regular season play with a 9-7 record and almost didn’t earn a spot in the playoffs.

The 13-3 New England Patriots have had a very good season. Just about every aspect of their team sits in the top of the league. The only area they don’t qualify as excellent is their rushing game but their near perfect passing team makes up for it.

Patriots vs Titans : Where to watch, listen and stream

Tennessee Titans vs New England Patriots

Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts

Time & Date: Sat, Jan 13, 8:15 PM ET

Live TV Stream: CBS

Online: NFL Game Pass

When comparing the two teams, the Patriots are better than the Titans in just about every category. The Titans have a much better running game and are ranked #3 in the league versus the Patriots #23. However, the Titans rushing game will have to go up against the super tough Patriots rush defense. The Las Vegas line and most experts predict that the Patriots will win by at least two touchdowns.

Patriots Chance of Winning

The Patriots have proved through the years that they like to win and nothing has changed this season. As stated before, the Patriots team is near perfect all the way around. Their main strength on offense is their ability to quickly adapt to any defense. Many expect that QB Tom Brady will pick apart the Titan defense and dominate.

The Patriots’ defense absolutely improved as the season went on, allowing just 14.6 points per game in the second half of the season. Plus, if there’s a team out there that can exploit that New England weakness, it’s certainly not the Titans.

The Patriots visited Pittsburgh in Week 15 and won 27-24; the Titans visited Pittsburgh in Week 11 and lost 40-17.

Titans Chance of Winning, Can the Titans pull off another major upset on the road?

To be put simply, slim to none. The team can look great at times but they have struggled in many aspects of the game all season long. Their passing game and their ability to score touchdowns are ranked low in the league. However, if their defense can get them good field position and get them into the red zone, they may have a chance to shine. During the 2018 season, the Titans were ranked #1 in red zone performance.

Prediction: The Titans also lost to the Texans 57-14 (not a typo) one week after the Patriots beat the Texans 36-33. I think the Pats will beat the Titans by 41-20.

2018 Wild Card round ended after the Sunday night football between Panthers vs Saints, the New Orleans Saints keep off the Carolina Panthers, 31-26, to move on to face the Minnesota Vikings. In that contest, New Orleans essentially did whatever it wanted on offense; Brees went 22-for-29 with 220 yards and three touchdowns, and running backs Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara had 128 yards on 23 touches.

The Jacksonville Jaguars after a horrific offensive performance only one touchdown game, set the AFC field for the Divisional Round when they beat the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, 10-3, in a defensive battle of field position.

NFC Wild Card Playoff: Why the Panthers could beat the Saints for first time

The NFL Playoffs will feature an excellent contest between two NFC South teams. The Panthers vs Saints game is sure to bring together fans and newcomers alike. These two teams had a great regular season and want to advance in the NFL Playoffs. There are factors that keep both teams in the running so far. Wait to see what offensive weapons they have on display going forward. That could keep these teams in the discussion for Super bowl contenders.

NFL Playoff Schedule, Sunday Football Games

Buffalo Bills vs Jacksonville Jaguars at 1:05 PM ET, EverBank Field, TV CBS

Carolina Panthers vs New Orleans Saints at 4:40 PM ET, Mercedes-Benz Superdome, TV – FOX

 Why The Panthers Could Win:

Carolina made a notable trip to the Super bowl recently with effectively the same time. Cam Newton excels as the teams young QB and leader. Head coach Ron Rivera has plenty of options at his disposal. It will be up to their defense to limit scoring opportunities. That could be a deciding factor in Panthers vs Saints.

The Panthers, who are also making their return to the playoffs after a year away, hope that their own star quarterback Cam  Newton can pound the ball into the Saints line and then dump off to Devin Funchess or Greg Olsen, keeping the Saints D on its heels and the Saints offense on the sideline. This team was good enough to hand the Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots rare losses, so perhaps they have what it takes to at last break through.

 Why The Saints Could Win:

The Saints are proud to have Drew Brees as their QB. His leadership and throwing ability has been proven time and time again. The Saints also topped the Panthers in their last meeting. The team won a Superbowl in 2010 with Drew Brees starting at quarterback. They will have the advantage of playing at home in the playoff game. Head coach Sean Payton is back on the sidelines and remains confident. The Saints also have a duo of great RBs with Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara.

Winning this matchup was a main reason the Saints won the first two games. In Week 3, a 34-13 victory, the Saints had 149 rushing yards on a 5.5-yard average per carry. In the Week 13 rematch, a 31-21 win, the Saints gained 148 yards on a 5.3-yard average per carry.

These two teams have surprised audiences before with their playing style. They boast high power offenses that will surprise people in any game. Panthers vs Saints may be the most high profile game of the week too. A win could position either team for a Superbowl bid. Fans will show up on both sides to show their support. Expect a close game that hinges on defense on both sides of the ball.

Falcons advanced from the wild-card round with a methodical 26-13 victory over the Rams on Saturday night. Where the Saints will play next week if they win Sunday against Panthers? The NFL re-seeds after the first round, and the sixth-seeded Falcons are headed to play the No. 1 seed Philadelphia Eagles next Saturday, leaving the Saints-Panthers winner to make the trip to Minnesota.

The Tennessee Titans overcame a 21-3 first-half road deficit, plastering the Kansas City Chiefs for 19 second-half points to swipe a 22-21 upset win at Arrowhead Stadium. The 18-point comeback tied for the second-largest on the road in NFL playoff history.

Now comes the best part where the teams for the Wild Card AFC and NFC divisions have been chosen and they are set to play. While the home teams will get a certain advantage from the crowd, each of these teams have a special way to win. So for the eight teams within the AFC and NFC wildcard race, who will win the ultimate prize of being able to play the division leaders? The eight teams include: Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints. But which of these teams hold the stronger advantages in the AFC and in the NFC and why?

The AFC Wildcard Teams

The four AFC wildcard division teams include: the Kansas City Chiefs who will play the Tennessee Titans and the Jacksonville Jaguars who will play the Buffalo Bills. While the the Chiefs have a better overall record than the Titans, they both rate low when it comes to scoring touchdowns. The Chiefs do however, have a 4 game winning streak, which could give them the confidence to believe that they can win. For the Titans however, their advantage point will be a poor Chiefs secondary unit which can be beatable by the Titans if their quarterback Marcus Mariota has a successful throwing game. By all accounts, the Kansas City Chiefs should be an odds on favorite to win this one as stopping quarterback Alex Smith, wide receiver Tyreek Hill, tight end Travis Kelce and running back Kareem Hunt may just be too much for the Tennessee Titans.

And what about the Jacksonville Jaguars who get to play the Buffalo Bills? What will be the outcome of this game? The Jacksonville Jaguars have the better record by 1 game and they also have home field advantage. But will this be enough to carry them over the finish line or will the Buffalo Bills have a sweet surprise waiting? The Jacksonville Jaguars have a strong defense that has been talked about by the analysts all year. However, if the Buffalo Bills can force Jaguar quarterback Blake Bortles into some bad decisions, they may find themselves with an upset. That being said, with the home field advantage, the unbeatable defense and the inconsistency of Buffalo Bills Blake Bortles, the odds on favorite for this one will be the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The NFC Wildcard Teams

The NFC division is by far the toughest in the National Football League. And with three great teams in the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints in the NFC South, the battle will be like winning the Super Bowl. With the Atlanta Falcons heading to face the Los Angeles Ram, the home court advantage goes to the Rams. Atlanta’s secondary will have to protect Matt Ryan to give the outstanding weapons from the Falcons team a chance. An unprotected Matt Ryan will mean trouble for the Falcons. Also, Atlanta Falcons defense will have to step up. There is an old saying that says,” defense wins football games”. Matt Ryan will have to be at his best as Atlanta is not the best road team. Julio Jones will have to bring his star power and Devante Freeman must have an excellent running game. Matt Ryan must show versatility with his weapons which will help in confusing the Rams defense. Both teams have great records with the Rams having a 1 game advantage. But Atlanta does have a 1 game winning streak coming into the wildcard game which may boost their confidence. Overall, Atlanta Falcons, with their high flying offense and superior weapons should prevail in this one. Also, the Atlanta Falcons should be hungry to get back to the Superbowl and prove their worthiness to win it all.

When it comes to the quarterbacks for the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers, they don’t get any more elite than Drew Brees and Cam Newton. That being said, the Saints will have to work on their defense and secondary unit to protect Drew Brees. He has minimized his throwing and depends more on the running game. So an unprotected Drew Brees could spell disaster for the New Orleans Saints. And let us not forget about the Carolina Panthers defense that he will be matched up against. This defense has been getting better and better throughout the year. Both teams have an 11 win and 5 loss record and both teams have a 1 game losing streak coming into the playoffs. And while Cam Newton is a superstar in the quarterback position, nobody has been in more pressure situations than Drew Brees. It is after all what makes him special and well, Drew Brees. And the Saints will be playing at home where they do the most damage. The Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore should be able to contain Cam Newton, leaving the New Orleans Saints as the odds on favorite to win this one. This will be the third meeting for the Saints and the Panthers and the Saints are 2 wins and 0 losses against the Panthers while putting up an incredible thirty points on each occasion. Also, the Saints have a home field advantage where their cornerback Marshon Mattimore should be able to stop Cam Newton on the New Orleans Saints home field.

All in all, the action between these 6 wildcard teams should be a showstopper. With lots of action from teams that are familiar with playing each other, the playbook for each team will have to be uniquely special. Each team knows the other so well, that adjustments will surely have to be made. Whoever wants it more will be the team that will have the ultimate victory. And while the odds on favorites have been chosen, with these matchups, anything is possible. All of these teams have been invited; now let’s see who wants to devour the other more.

NFL Playoffs 2018: AFC, NFC Schedule time, date and TV info

The end of Week 17 in the NFL closed out the remaining playoff spots, and the first round byes and the first round pairing is now set. Here is the overall picture and how each team earned their playoff berth.

AFC playoff picture

Top Seed – New England clinched the home field advantage throughout the playoffs by beating the Jets 26 – 6.

2nd Seed – The Steelers earned a first round bye in handing Cleveland their 16th consecutive loss of the season, 28 – 24.

When the Patriots overcame the Steelers in Week 15 to win, the tiebreaker advantage (head to head record) went to New England, so should the two meet in the AFC Championship game it will be played in New England.

3rd Seed – Jacksonville grabbed the 3rd spot having already won the AFC South division in Week 15 by trouncing the Texans 45 – 3 and the Titans losing 25 – 23 to the 49ers.

4th Seed – Kansas City won the AFC West two weeks ago with a 30-13 defeat of rival San Diego and the Raiders losing to the Cowboys in Week 15.

5th Seed – The Tennessee Titans earned one of the two remaining AFC playoff spots by rolling over rival Jacksonville in Week 17, 15 – 10. All they had to do to secure a playoff spot was to win because they had the better conference record between Buffalo, Baltimore, and the Chargers.

6th Seed – The Buffalo Bills make their first playoff appearance since 1999. They needed some help from Cincinnati who faced the Ravens. If the Ravens win, they were in. But the Bengals thumped Baltimore in the last minute, winning 31 – 27. Combined with Buffalo’s 22 – 16 victory over Miami, they move in based on the tiebreaker of common opponent.

NFC playoff picture

Top Seed – The Philadelphia Eagles secured the top seed and the NFC East when defeating the Oakland Raiders on Christmas Day, 19 – 10.

2nd Seed – Minnesota was challenging for the Top Seed but locked up the second spot and a first round bye by winning its last 3 games. They lost on the head-to-head tiebreaker for the Top Seed by losing to the Panthers in Week 14.

3rd Seed – The Los Angeles Rams locked up the 3rd Seed by drubbing rival Seattle two weeks ago to win the NFC West.

4th Seed – With its Week 16 win over the Falcons, New Orleans locked up the NFC South over Carolina with a better conference record.

5th Seed – Carolina lost the division on tiebreakers with New Orleans, and though they had a tiebreaker advantage over the Rams, the fact that the Rams won their division pushed the Panthers into the 5 Seed.

6th Seed – The Atlanta Falcons edged into the playoffs with a 22 – 10 Week 17 victory over Carolina. Their playoff situation was the simplest of all the wild card teams – win and they’re in, having a one game advantage over the Detroit Lions.

If you’re looking for Super Bowl experience, there’s plenty of that, too. The playoffs will feature a total of four quarterbacks — Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees — who have won at least one Super Bowl. Combined with Newton and Ryan, that means nearly half the teams in the playoffs will have a starting quarterback with Super Bowl experience.

Take a look at the NFL postseason schedule which you are looking for.

NFL Playoff Scenarios 2018 – Two Questions for Week 17 you need to know

NFL Playoff Picture 2018 – Week 17 Scenarios

Question 1

The Patriots seem to have an advantage in the playoffs which means they have a chance of coming first in the NFL. They will be going against the Jets on Sunday, who are also good at their game. However, it is not clear whether the Jets will be able to handle the Patriots this time since their quarterback, John McCown injured his hand earlier and will not be able to participate in the upcoming game. The thought of Bryce Petty from Jets going against the Patriots’ Tom Brady is disturbing. Honestly, the Jets may not be able to last as soon as the game begins.

In the end, the Falcons victory over the Panthers not only punched their playoff ticket, but also ensured a division title for New Orleans.

Sunday, Feb. 4

The main threat to the Patriots is the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Patriots will meet the Steelers if they beat the Jets. On the other hand, the Steelers will have a significant advantage if the Patriots lose to the jets which are unlikely. Nevertheless, the results show that the Steelers are likely to become first or second if worse, so they are safe. The Jacksonville Jaguars have been brilliant throughout the season, and they are the 3rd in the least. They, however, can be beaten by the Kansas City Chiefs if they do not win the upcoming match. The Kansas City Chiefs will either maintain their third position or lock at the fourth spot if things go unexpectedly for them. The Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings are the two most unbeatable teams. The Eagles have acquired position 1. Seed while the Vikings are close to getting No. 2 Seed if they manage to win against the Chicago Bears at Home.

Question 2

Who can make the playoffs in Week 17 and why

Reliable sources of analysis have the opinion that Los Angeles is likely to win the playoffs as compared to any other team. At the beginning of the season, LA Chargers recorded a poor run but, as time continued to go by, they were able to master the momentum that came with beating their very own derby enemies. On the other hand, as Titans proceeded to secure a more promising win, it is likely that in the final victory, LA Chargers might win and the Titans lose or come to a draw. Ideally, suppose this prediction does not come to pass, it will merely mean that the Chargers will have to travel to Jacksonville to take part in the wild-card event. What the good thing about LA winning is that when Titans lose, they will be pushed out of their current third position and then Chargers will use this loss to make a win. In the real sense, there is a high likelihood that now that the Jaguars will be locked into the position three seed, they will be facing Titans which goes without saying that all of their primary players will have to be on the field. When these two giants meet up and battle until the very end of time in Jacksonville hosted by Tenessee, it will favor the odds of Chargers winning. Another reason is that as soon as the Bills lose to the Dolphins, Buffalo will be headed to Miami. When Dolphins, Ravens, and Jaguars secure this win, it is likely that the playoffs will be taken by LA.

NFL Playoff Picture 2018: What to watch in Week 17

3) Patriots tie + Steelers tie

Pittsburgh Steelers 12-3 vs Cleveland 0-15 in Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET

NFC Playoff Picture

The Philadelphia Eagles already have clinched NFC East division title and home field advantage throughout NFC playoffs.

Minnesota Vikings 12-3 vs Chicago Bears 5-10 in U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET

The Minnesota Vikings have a 98.9 percent chance to clinche a first-round bye with some help from the two teams the Panthers and the Saints. That’s because the Panthers beaten the Vikings a 31-24 home win in Week 14 and also a home loss to Chicago on Sunday combined with a Panthers road win over Atlanta and a Saints loss to the Bucs would give Carolina the NFC’s No. 2 seed and send the Vikings into the playoffs without a bye. So you need to see below:

1) Minnesota Vikings win or tie OR

2) Carolina Panthers loss or tie OR

3) New Orleans Saints win OR

4) Los Angeles Rams win

New Orleans Saints 11-4 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4-11 in Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET

The New Orleans Saints can clinche NFC South division title with:

1) New Orleans Saints win OR

2) Panthers loss OR

3) Saint tie + Carolina tie

Carolina Panthers 11-4 at Atlanta Falcons 9-6 in Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET

The Carolina Panthers can earn the No. 2 seed and the first-round bye NFC South division title with:

1) Carolina Panthers win + Saints loss or tie OR

2) Panthers tie + Saints loss

Carolina clinches a first-round bye with:

1) Panthers win + New Orleans loss or tie + Vikings loss + Rams loss or tie. For that to happen, the Rams, Saints and Vikings would all have to lose Sunday and the Panthers would have to win. Because of the Panthers would win a head-to-head tiebreaker with the Vikings at 12-4.

Atlanta Falcons 9-6 vs Carolina Panthers 11-4 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET

The Atlanta Falcons can clinche a playoff berth with:

1) Atlanta Falcons win OR

2) Seattle Seahawks loss OR

3) Falcons tie + Seahawks tie

Seattle Seahawks 9-6 vs Arizona Cardinals 7-8 in CenturyLink Field, Seattle, Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET

The Seattle Seahawks can clinche a Wild-card berth with:

1) Seahawks win + Falcons loss or tie OR

2) Seahawks tie + Atlanta loss.

If the Seahawks finish 10-6 and miss out on the playoffs, things might get kind of awkward in the locker room for Blair Walsh. If the Falcons lose, the Seahawks can jump into the No. 6 spot with a win over the Cardinals. To be clear: If the Falcons and the Seahawks lose, Atlanta would be the wild-card team.

AFC’s potential Wild-card and divisional playoffs teams

(5) Baltimore Ravens at (4) Kansas City Chiefs

(6) Los Angeles Chargers/Bills/Titans at (3) Jacksonville Jaguars

Byes: New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers

NFC’s potential Wild card divisional playoffs teams

(5) Carolina Panthers at (4) Los Angeles Rams

(6) Atlanta Falcons/Seattle Seahawks at (3) New Orleans Saints

Byes: Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings

Next game vs Carolina Panthers (11-4).

The Falcons can clinch a playoff spot with a win vs Carolina Panthers or tie or a tie and a Seahawks tie or loss vs Arizona Cardinals or a Seahawks loss.

Seattle Seahawks (9-6): The Seahawks 21-12 victory over the Cowboys put the team one step closer to a wild card spot and a home game remaining in week 17 at CenturyLink Field, Seattle. NFL playoff picture: Early prediction for week 16

After this NFL Week 16 Sunday’s games you will see most of the teams’ latest NFL playoff picture for who makes playoff, who misses out? 19 teams in the NFL to battle it out. The NFL picture doesn’t get any better than this. As there are only three and four opening in the AFC and NFC respectively? Among the 19 NFL teams five of them thus Philadelphia, Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, Minnesota and New England have clinched their spot. Patriots AFC East champion, Steelers AFC North champion, Eagles NFC East champion, Vikings NFC North champion, who made your NFL Playoff Picture?

All of the team that is in for the wild two weeks is no joke as will how the NFL playoffs are challenging. Let’s have a quick review of the teams that are still contending, beginning with AFC.
Kansas team is in desperate need for a single win in the incoming two games in order for them to have a spot in the AFC West. The Chiefs are believed to have a legitimate offense regardless of their stance in the middle of this season. Their quarterback Smith Alex and Tyreek Hill are unstoppable on the field with their passes. More calls have been made to the chief’s defense a sector they haven’t been performing off late.

On the south side the Titans can be seen to stand in winning the AFC south spot, however, a wild card spot is highly expected. Their finishing with Jaguars and Rams makes things more complicated for them. The Titans are expecting highly from Marcus Mariota to pull a surprise card as their offensive line can be said to be competent. The Titans key strategy should be to preventing their opponents from making any points as they are struggling with a weak defense. In the playoffs Titans should the least worries of any team.

We are looking below for the team who makes playoff tickets, who misses out?

New Orleans Saints (10-4), Carolina Panthers (10-4), Atlanta Falcons (9-5), Los Angeles Rams (10-4), Jacksonville Jaguars (10-4) they’ll be AFC South champion, Kansas City Chiefs (8-6), Tennessee Titans (8-6),
In the hunt for AFC playoff games: Buffalo Bills (8-6), Los Angeles Chargers (7-7), Miami Dolphins (6-8), Oakland Raiders (6-8).
In the hunt for NFC playoff games: Seattle Seahawks (8-6), Detroit Lions (8-6), Dallas Cowboys (8-6).

Things are not looking so well for the Bills as their only card is their plus-7 I margin turnover. This weekend the Bills have a long weekend as they are facing off the Patriots as losing is not a card that will work for them. It’s sad for the Bills as statistically, they are the worst team in teams playoff of points, poor in yardage as well as the sack in differential both in defense and offense. This is not a good tread in playoff success. On the other side, the Bills have been seen to have a rush in their games a trait that can keep them winning.

Baltimore Ravens (9-6): Wild card No. 1. Their end-of-season schedule has them sitting pretty with the lowly Colts their latest victim on Saturday. Beat the Bengals in Week 17, and Baltimore is assured a wild-card spot.

Cowboys have a win or win situation this weekend as it’s either them or the Seahawks, it’s a winner’s stay game as the loser is shown the door. The Cowboys can overturn their luck as they have just gotten Zeke Elliot from his 6 weeks suspension, this is an extra plus for the well-performing offense.

The Lions are greatly counting on Mathew Stafford to turn their luck around. Lions have high just of winning the playoffs. Last season they lost to Seattle due to Stafford injured finger, he has been seen to be performing well as he is leading in NFL percentage completion.
Rams are expected to be a challenge once they have the spot as they have very promising players. For the Panthers it’s likely they will be the NFC kingpins as they have beaten the Packers and Vikings in a back to back. Saints are also likely to clinch the playoffs if they beat the Falcons in the coming weekend as the falcon’s offense line is not so good.
