Merry Christmas everyone! The 2019 NFL playoff picture of both AFC and NFC conference’s is mostly set with only one week left in the season. It is almost certain that the Pittsburgh Steelers are missing the playoffs but one chance remaining because the Pittsburgh Steelers (8-6-1) need a win over the the Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens (9-6) must loss to the Browns if it happened that would give Steelers the No. 4 seed in the postseason.
The NFC playoff picture for 2019 NFL postseason games is nearly clearer. A do or die matchup is remaining between the Indianapolis Colts (9-6) vs Tennessee Titans (9-6). It is too hard to say the Titans beat the Colts and they’ll be made the No. 6 seed in the AFC. On the other hand the Indy can win the AFC South if they beat the Titans and the Houston lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars (5-10).
With an impressive victory at the very last stage of their last game, the New Orleans Saints saw the Steelers playoff hope and only a team who already clinched first-round bye and also home-field advantage.
The NFL playoff picture below if the season stopped today.
AFC Playoff picture
- Kansas City Chiefs (11-4)
- New England Patriots (10-5)
- Houston Texans (10-5)
- Baltimore Ravens (9-6)
- Los Angeles Chargers (11-4)
- Indianapolis Colts (9-6)
- Tennessee Titans (9-6)
- Pittsburgh Steelers (8-6-1)
NFC playoff picture
- New Orleans Saints (13-2)
- Los Angeles Rams (12-3)
- Chicago Bears (11-4)
- Dallas Cowboys (9-6)
- Seattle Seahawks (9-6)
- Minnesota Vikings (8-6-1)
- Philadelphia Eagles (8-7)
The Minnesota Vikings (8-6-1) are now at No. 6 team at the NCF conference and if the Vikings want to go to the wild card they must need a win against the Chicago Bears (11-4) in Week 17. If the Los Angeles Rams (12-3) loss to the 49ers in the next week that would also give the Bears (11-4) the No. 2 seed in the postseason.
The New England Patriots (10-5) must needed win over the Jets in week 17 to clinch first-round bye in the playoffs. Patriots have a great chance because they never lose in this season as an undefeated in home games with a record of 7-0 and the Jets have also lost to Tom Brady with a 10 straight games at Gillette Stadium.
After Sunday’s victory over the Bucs the Dallas Cowboys (9-6) clinched the NFC East and made their playoff berth as well.
Philadelphia Eagles (8-7) will need some help to keeps playoff they must need to win and the Vikings lose and they can only be the NFC’s sixth seed but the Vikings hosts the Bears in Week 17.
If the Seattle Seahawks (9-6) lose in Week 17 and the Vikings and Eagles win, then it would be Seahawks out.
