Los Angeles Rams vs New Orleans Saints: 2019 NFC Championship Playoff, What to Watch?

saints vs rams

The Las Angeles Rams are ready to take on the New Orleans Saints in the 2019 NFL playoffs. These teams are looking to win the NFC Championship game and continue their journey in the super bowl. Quarterback Drew Bree will face Jarod Goff and the two will see how has the better skills. Who will win here, you need to know more about detail below.

Offensive Line vs Defense

The Rams have a very strong defensive line and there have not been too many players that have been able to get past them. Aaron Donald is one of the leaders and he is picked to win the Defensive Player of the Year award. This season he was able to get 20.5 sacks and 5 tackles on his own. Ndamukong Suh and Michael Brocker have been a good team this year. They are able to work together to stop the big plays. They have been working hard to make sure their quarterback was protected and that he was able to have the time to throw the ball and head to the end zone.

Tough Players

This game will also have two of the top players in the league going against each other. For the Rams, there is Aqib Talib. For the Saints, there is Michael Thomas. Thomas has been having a great season. He has caught the ball 125 times and has run 1,405 yards and nine of these runs ended in touchdowns. He is the favorite player for Brees and together they are very hard to stop. Talib is not to be passed over. He has 23 tackles in the regular reasons. He was also able to get the ball for one interception.

Front Players

The Rams have running back Todd Gurley on their side while the Saints have some good players out front as well. Gurley has 17 touchdowns this season and in the regular season and he finished third in the NFL with 1,251 yards. The Rams will need to stop him in order to win the game. They will need to be tough from the moment that the games start and keep on going. Once they get the ball the Saints has a great offensive line that will be able to keep the ball moving down the field.

Here’s everything you need to know:

Things to Consider

Goff is a great quarterback in his own right. He was in the running for MVP right along with Brees. Some wonder if he will return for this game. He has slowed down in the past game but he could have been saving his strength.

The Rams will be able to win this game if Brees does not make a mistake with the ball and there are no turnovers. They need to keep a tight pace and keep going hard. They also need to make sure they have a strong field position.

The Saints will be able to win the if they can shut down the Ram’s offense. They need to make their quarterback play his best and they need to keep their defense strong.

This game is for the championship and the winner will be one step closer to the 53 Super Bowl. Both teams are expected to lay their hardest.

The winner of the 2019 NFC championship will battle against the AFC champion for the super bowl game 2019 on Sunday, February 3 in Atlanta, 6:30 p.m. ET.

Los Angeles Charger vs Baltimore Ravens 2019 NFL Wild Card Playoff

The Los Angeles Chargers and the Baltimore Ravens shall both square it out at the NFL Postseason on January 6th, 2019. Even though they both qualified for the postseason on a Wildcard basis, the upcoming tournament is all for the Charger’s taking. We can authoritatively state so after studying their past trends and performances extensively.

A. Why Ravens are favorite over Chargers

Generally speaking, the Baltimore Ravens are touted as favorites over and above the Los Angeles Chargers. This is mainly due to their resilience as demonstrated by their performances in the past contests and matches. They are basically a team that is designed to play from ahead. They do have a great running game besides possessing a fantastic defense. Most people speculate that they might use these advantages in their upcoming match and pull a surprise head start over and above their opponents.

B. Why Chargers will beat Ravens

#1: Past Track Record

In all, the Lost Angeles Chargers had the more rigorous and intense of qualifying contests. The team played against very seasoned teams. These included the Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers, Kansas Chiefs, and Buffalo Bills.

This was in sharp contrast with the Baltimore Ravens that played mostly against less seasoned teams like the Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams, Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphin, and Washington Redskin. This will definitely place the Chargers at a strategic advantage.

#2: Players

Generally speaking, the Los Angeles Chargers has many better players than the Baltimore Ravens. Here we are talking about the seasoned Philip Rivers, who plays the quarterback, Austin Ekeler, who is great at running back, and Keenan Allen who is a wild receiver. With such a great player base, you should expect the Chargers to trounce their opponents mercilessly.

#3: Great Defense

In all, the defense of the Chargers is comparatively greater than that of the Baltimore Ravens. The team has some of the very reliable defense players like the Joseph Anthony Bosa who rarely concedes any scores. He together with Isaac Rochell is anticipated to seal the goals so tightly against the Baltimore Ravens. Their excellent track record and wealth of experience are also expected to come in handy during the upcoming duel.

#4: Jahleel Addae out and Jenkins in

Jahleel Addae who has been playing in the strong safety position has been criticized repeatedly for being a let down to the Chargers. These criticisms have been received and acted on appropriately. With regards to this, the said player shall not participate in the upcoming matches. In his stead shall be Malcolm Jenkins who is generally hailed to be faster and more effective. This change is generally expected to tip the scales in the favor of Los Angeles Charger.

PS: Please note that the above discussions are our own speculations on how the match may turn out to be. As such, you should treat them with some pinch of salt. All said and done, you have to make an effort of watching the tournaments on your own to avoid any doubts. Best of luck as you make the necessary arrangements to that end!

The Minnesota Vikings have a 98.9 percent chance to clinche a first-round bye with some help from the two teams the Panthers and the Saints. That’s because the Panthers beaten the Vikings a 31-24 home win in Week 14 and also a home loss to Chicago on Sunday combined with a Panthers road win over Atlanta and a Saints loss to the Bucs would give Carolina the NFC’s No. 2 seed and send the Vikings into the playoffs without a bye. 2) Panthers tie + Saints loss

Carolina clinches a first-round bye with:

1) Panthers win + New Orleans loss or tie + Vikings loss + Rams loss or tie. For that to happen, the Rams, Saints and Vikings would all have to lose Sunday and the Panthers would have to win. Because of the Panthers would win a head-to-head tiebreaker with the Vikings at 12-4.

Atlanta Falcons 9-6 vs Carolina Panthers 11-4 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET

The Atlanta Falcons can clinche a playoff berth with:

If the Seahawks finish 10-6 and miss out on the playoffs, things might get kind of awkward in the locker room for Blair Walsh. If the Falcons lose, the Seahawks can jump into the No. 6 spot with a win over the Cardinals. To be clear: If the Falcons and the Seahawks lose, Atlanta would be the wild-card team.

NFL playoff picture: Early prediction for week 16

After this NFL Week 16 Sunday’s games you will see most of the teams’ latest NFL playoff picture for who makes playoff, who misses out? 19 teams in the NFL to battle it out. The NFL picture doesn’t get any better than this. As there are only three and four opening in the AFC and NFC respectively? Among the 19 NFL teams five of them thus Philadelphia, Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, Minnesota and New England have clinched their spot. Patriots AFC East champion, Steelers AFC North champion, Eagles NFC East champion, Vikings NFC North champion, who made your NFL Playoff Picture?

All of the team that is in for the wild two weeks is no joke as will how the NFL playoffs are challenging. Let’s have a quick review of the teams that are still contending, beginning with AFC.
Kansas team is in desperate need for a single win in the incoming two games in order for them to have a spot in the AFC West. The Chiefs are believed to have a legitimate offense regardless of their stance in the middle of this season. Their quarterback Smith Alex and Tyreek Hill are unstoppable on the field with their passes. More calls have been made to the chief’s defense a sector they haven’t been performing off late.

On the south side the Titans can be seen to stand in winning the AFC south spot, however, a wild card spot is highly expected. Their finishing with Jaguars and Rams makes things more complicated for them. The Titans are expecting highly from Marcus Mariota to pull a surprise card as their offensive line can be said to be competent. The Titans key strategy should be to preventing their opponents from making any points as they are struggling with a weak defense. In the playoffs Titans should the least worries of any team.

We are looking below for the team who makes playoff tickets, who misses out?

New Orleans Saints (10-4), Carolina Panthers (10-4), Atlanta Falcons (9-5), Los Angeles Rams (10-4), Jacksonville Jaguars (10-4) they’ll be AFC South champion, Kansas City Chiefs (8-6), Tennessee Titans (8-6),
In the hunt for AFC playoff games: Buffalo Bills (8-6), Los Angeles Chargers (7-7), Miami Dolphins (6-8), Oakland Raiders (6-8).
In the hunt for NFC playoff games: Seattle Seahawks (8-6), Detroit Lions (8-6), Dallas Cowboys (8-6).

Things are not looking so well for the Bills as their only card is their plus-7 I margin turnover. This weekend the Bills have a long weekend as they are facing off the Patriots as losing is not a card that will work for them. It’s sad for the Bills as statistically, they are the worst team in teams playoff of points, poor in yardage as well as the sack in differential both in defense and offense. This is not a good tread in playoff success. On the other side, the Bills have been seen to have a rush in their games a trait that can keep them winning.

Baltimore Ravens (9-6): Wild card No. 1. Their end-of-season schedule has them sitting pretty with the lowly Colts their latest victim on Saturday. Beat the Bengals in Week 17, and Baltimore is assured a wild-card spot.

Cowboys have a win or win situation this weekend as it’s either them or the Seahawks, it’s a winner’s stay game as the loser is shown the door. The Cowboys can overturn their luck as they have just gotten Zeke Elliot from his 6 weeks suspension, this is an extra plus for the well-performing offense.

The Lions are greatly counting on Mathew Stafford to turn their luck around. Lions have high just of winning the playoffs. Last season they lost to Seattle due to Stafford injured finger, he has been seen to be performing well as he is leading in NFL percentage completion.
Rams are expected to be a challenge once they have the spot as they have very promising players. For the Panthers it’s likely they will be the NFC kingpins as they have beaten the Packers and Vikings in a back to back. Saints are also likely to clinch the playoffs if they beat the Falcons in the coming weekend as the falcon’s offense line is not so good.

Hoping I have prepared you sufficiently for NFL playoff this season. Here is your NFL playoff prediction.

A wild ending to a victory in Pittsburgh sets up the Pats on a path to secure homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. Beat the Bills and Jets and the No. 1 seed is New England’s. It’s hard not to see it happening.

As for Sunday night’s contest, it’s a crucial one for the teams involved. The Oakland Raiders play host to the Dallas Cowboys, with both teams currently outside the playoff picture but hoping to keep postseason dreams alive.

On Saturday night, Kansas City routed the turnover-prone Los Angeles Chargers 30-13 to seize control of the AFC West. Also Saturday, Detroit beat Chicago 20-10.

While three teams in the AFC have been eliminated from extending their playoff hopes.

Some teams can help their chances by winning their week 15 games, while some could use a little help and others could move down the rankings in the playoffs.

The Jacksonville Jaguars officially made the playoffs for the first time in a decade. The win over Houston also keeps the Jaguars ahead of the Titans, who dropped a game on the road to the suddenly hot 49ers.

The NFC South remains a virtual toss-up with two weeks to go. The New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers both moved to 10-4 with wins over the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers, respectively. The Saints maintain the division lead, but they have to play the 8-5 Atlanta Falcons in Week 16 while the Panthers get the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Falcons to 9-5 nears playoffs with ugly win on the year while Buccaneers fell to 4-10. As a result of the Falcons’ victory, the Packers are now eliminated from the playoffs for the first time since 2008. And now, there’s a very real chance that they could sit Aaron Rodgers against the Vikings on Saturday.

The Falcons are in the thick of the playoff race, but getting there won’t be easy. They’ll finish the year against the Saints and Panthers.

The four teams in the NFC South are going to be seeing a lot of each other in the final two weeks of the season.

In the Mix: The Seattle Seahawks at 8-5, Detroit Lions 8-6, Green Bay Packers 7-6

NFL Playoff Picture after week 13 of the NFL some teams are already looking like are going to make the playoffs. The NFL playoff picture is starting to look up. To everyone’s surprise the Philadelphia Eagles are looking food this year. They have won their game so far and are playing like they want the victory.

In the AFC South, the Titans and Jaguars are still neck and neck for the division lead. Both teams got divisional wins this week — Tennessee over the Texans, and Jacksonville over the Colts.

The suddenly tight AFC West is now a three-way tie between the Chiefs, Chargers, and Raiders. The Chiefs, who fell on the road to the Jets, still hang on to the playoff spot — for now. The Chargers beat the winless Browns in Los Angeles, and the Raiders topped the Geno Smith-led Giants in Oakland.

If the season ended today, here are the six teams from the NFC that would get in:

Minnesota Vikings (10-2)
Philadelphia Eagles (10-2)
Los Angeles Rams (9-3)
New Orleans Saints (9-4)
Seattle Seahawks (8-4)
Carolina Panthers (8-4)

And here’s the AFC:

Pittsburgh Steelers (10-2)
New England Patriots (10-2)
Tennessee Titans (8-4)
Kansas City Chiefs (6-6)
Jacksonville Jaguars (8-4)
Baltimore Ravens (7-5)

The Week 15 meeting of the Steelers and Patriots looms large and could decide the top seed in the conference. For now, New England holds a slight edge — but only because Pittsburgh doesn’t play until Monday night.

The Patriots beat the Bills on the road to jump into first place, at least for now. The Steelers will travel to face the Bengals for an AFC North matchup on Monday Night Football.

Philadelphia couldn’t hold off the list of hungry teams hunting for the top spot in the NFC. Although the Eagles are tied for the best record in the NFL, the Vikings jumped them for the No. 1 seed in the NFC. It looks like this team is shaping up. Both their offense and their defense are playing like they want to win. If they keep going this way there is a good chance that they will make it to the top playoff seeds.

No one should count out the Green Bay Packers at this time. They are winning their games as well as playing tough. Their defense has come a long way since the previous year and they are doing their best to prevent other teams from scoring on them.

These are some of the teams that are looking like they will make the 2017 NFL playoffs. While it is still too early to tell what team will win the big game it is quickly shaping up as to what teams will be in the running?

It can put them in a good position or put them further down the list.

There are some other teams that are still alive in their playoff hope as well. The Tennessee Titans are 7and 4. While this is not a bad record they will need to win the next game. The same can be said for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The next game will help determine their place and if they can secure a playoff spot.

With the playoffs approaching soon the teams cannot begin to slip now. They need to continue to play hard to make it to these playoff games and continue their journey.

The 49ers, Browns and Giants were all officially eliminated after week 12, so they can start getting ready for the 2018 NFL draft.

Week 12 Predictions

It is currently week 12 of 17 of the NFL season and predictions for NFL playoff chances at this point are underway. In this article, 12 teams will be looked at and discussed in terms of if they have a chance or not. First and foremost, the Philadelphia Eagles are on their way to a playoff spot meanwhile the Cowboys seem to be on their knees praying for a chance. Secondly, like usual, the Steelers and Patriots are standing tall and will most likely have a playoff spot when the time comes around, however, surprisingly the Jaguars are also expected to make the playoffs too. Furthermore teams like the Saints, Vikings and Chiefs are also expected to have a playoff spot when the regular season comes to an end. However, teams like the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks are almost 50/50 at this point in the season and teams such as the Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers will most definitely not make the playoffs at such a late point in the season due to their regular season record at the moment. Lastly, with only 5 weeks to go, there isn’t much time for any underdogs or teams that are really struggling to produce wins to comeback and clinch a playoff spot.
